I'll have to say, the Modkat definitely caught my eye when I first saw it and I guess I wasn't alone. Even the International Contemporary Furniture Fair gave it the Editor's Award for best accessory.
This sleek and yet simple cat litter box is becoming very popular among cat owners and here's why I think so.
First, the Modkat looks great. The design is very contemporary and it actually can be in a room and you not even realize that it's a cat litter box. It blends in to its surroundings and really compliments a room. It even comes in different colors. I love that! That's a far cry from some boxes that seem to stand out like a sore thumb and all you can see is cat litter.
Secondly, I think the design has been very thought out as far as what a cat really needs in a litter box. The size seems just right at 15 inches high, 16 inches deep and 16 inches tall. So its about as high as a chair but takes up very little space. Still its big enough for your cat to be comfortable and be able to move around inside and do their digging.
Third, I really love the rooftop entry hole. This gives your cat a better feeling of security and privacy. Plus when they come out of the box, it has a built in tracking mat that helps remove litter from their paws and that means less litter tracking. Genius idea!
And finally, it's super eco-friendly with a removable litter liner that's made to prevent odor and it's waterproof. That means easy clean up! The Modkat definitely has my vote!
